MORBID ANGEL Guitarist: OBAMA's 'Victory Is Victory For Higher Level Of Vision And Principle'

November 5, 2008

Guitarist Trey Azagthoth (born George Emmanuel III) of the legendary Florida death metallers MORBID ANGEL has released the following message:

"I have never been into politics nor has this band, but I have always been into life.

"As for life, I feel compelled to express something.

"Barack Obama is AWESOME. I have watched this whole thing closely over these months and I have seen this spark in him that I can so passionately relate to. His way really does represent some real change and this isn't some bunch of inflated hype.

"For me, his thinking, and now with his new position and all it represents, is something I can really be proud of, because in my opinion his victory is a victory for a higher level of vision and principle.

"THIS IS A PARADIGM SHIFT, AN EVOLUTION, MASSIVE ON SO MANY LEVELS!!!!!!!

"The human spirit is infinite in potential, limited only by the restrictions of one's own investments and convictions as to what is even possible or not possible.

"For me I find that no matter where we are or what is happening we always have the freedoms to decide what direction we choose to invest ourselves in, what we choose to believe in and how we choose to represent things to ourselves. This is a freedom that is always ours and all we need to do is to realize and act upon it. This is the fundamentals of manifestation.

"It's kinda funny, actually, since for many years now I been on about the color blue. Blue guitars, planets... and this awesome person comes from the Blue Party."
